NSW: Man killed in hit and run

SYDNEY, Dec 2 AAP - An unidentified man was killed in a hit and run incident in south-western
New South Wales early today, police said.

The man was hit by a car between 3.15am and 3.35am (AEDT) in Canal Street, Griffith,
a police spokesman said.

It was believed he was lying on the road at the time of the incident.

The man died at the scene and the car failed to stop.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to the incident to contact them.

The man's death follows the hit and run death of three-year-old Kenneth McLeod in the
Sydney suburb of Lakemba on Thursday night.
